Click here for video highlights of this fun-filled event, complete with great educational and networking opportunities, as well as a fantastic opening luncheon and awards dinner and ceremony.

We had quite a few skating stars in attendance, including Michelle Kwan, Frank Carroll, Julie Chu, David Santee, Mark Mitchell and Peter Johansson – a memorable time for sure!

ISI Honors David Santee and Frank Carroll
The ISI President's Reception and Awards Ceremony during last week's annual conference was once again a fabulous event honoring many devoted ISI individuals and industry supporters.

Highlights of the evening included the induction of two-time Olympian and World silver medalist David Santee into the ISI Hall of Fame and the presentation of the ISI Lifetime Achievement Award to legendary skating coach Frank Carroll. To the surprise of many attendees, Michelle Kwan made a special appearance to present the Lifetime Achievement Award to her former coach.

Loretta LaRoche Brings Laughter at Conference Luncheon
This year's annual ISI Conference & Trade Show opening luncheon on Tuesday, May 26 proved to be one of the best yet. Keynote speaker Loretta LaRoche (Video) was a huge hit, with her satire on today's culture - stressed out, and over-scheduled, with faces and fingers glued to mobile devices. We are so busy, and so busy complaining about how busy we are, we don't even have to time to laugh, she said. Instead, we write LOL. She definitely got her message across - laughter is the best medicine - and many ISI members were heard repeating her mantras of "NOOOBODY cares!" and "TADAH" throughout the remainder of Conference week.

A stress management consultant, LaRoche is president of The Humor Potential, Inc., a company offering programs and products for lifestyle management. She is the best-selling author of eight books and has been nominated for local and prime time Emmy Awards, and has appeared on CNN, ABC, NBC and Fox affiliates TV.
