Charting ISI's Growth
The ISI board of directors' fall meeting took place Nov. 11-13 at the Embassy Suites in Grapevine, Texas. Discussion was positive, with numerous ideas approved to grow and improve the organization. ISI staff was present and all in attendance walked away excited and committed to continuing to make ISI the premier association dedicated to serving ice arenas and the professionals employed in and serving these facilities.


Adult Champs & Holiday Challenge Updates
The event schedules for ISI Adult Championships and ISI Holiday Challenge are posted on the ISI website. While the schedule is now set, it may still be necessary to make minor adjustments prior to the events. Please check your times carefully and recheck them later this week. Any schedule questions should be emailed to khansen@skateisi.org.

A judge meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18 at Stanley's Sports Bar (upstairs in the rink). Also, as a thank you to Adult Champs participants, District 14 is sponsoring a holiday happy hour at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at Stanley's. Adult competitors will receive a formal invitation at registration.


Register Online for Winter Classic
Entry forms for the 2017 ISI Winter Classic are now available online. Test deadline is Nov. 25 and entry deadline is Dec. 1. The competition is scheduled Feb. 9-12 at Goggin Ice Center in Oxford, Ohio.

One-Day Conference Certification Options
The 2017 ISI/MIAMA Conference & Trade Show will offer the following one-day certification courses specially priced at $149:

Basic AED/CPR/First Aid (six-hour classroom) on Tuesday, May 30. It includes the MIAMA-sponsored buffet luncheon, conference opening and keynote, and presidents' reception. Registration closes April 15, so don't delay!

On Thursday, June 1, weSKATE course certification will be offered to coaches. This special deal also includes on-ice sessions at Bloomington Ice Garden, box lunch, trade show and cocktail reception. Operators and managers can register for an HVAC & Dehumidification certification course (two-hour classroom), also on Thursday. Course includes tours of the Shakopee and Braemar facilities, as well as on-ice sessions, box lunch, trade show and reception.
