WINTER CLASSIC
We are looking forward to welcoming all of you in 4 weeks to our 28th Annual Winter Classic Competition in Oxford, Ohio! This year’s event is very large and we are excited to be hosting 51 rinks and more than 830 competitors over the three days. Please take a minute to check the schedule of events as there have been some slight changes made over the past few weeks. Because of the size of the event however, we will have very little flexibility to make any additional changes and some of your skaters will have some tight schedules. Please know that we are aware of that and will be running the events as close to “on time” as possible.
We will need all of you for judging as there will be many A/B panels. Please download and print a Judge Schedule Request form.
Fax it to the office at 972-725-8815, or simply send an email to KHansen@skateisi.org . If you choose to send an email, please include your name, ISI number, rink, certification level and at least 4 panels you would be available to judge. This year, the panels are shorter to help with conflicts. Don’t forget, you must have a judge/coach credential to put skaters on the ice or access the hospitality room.
All judge request forms must be turned in by Tuesday January 22nd.
After January 22nd, the only way to receive a credential would be:
Take a minimum of 2 panels as assigned by ISI or
Pay $100 coach credential fee (see below)
If you are not judging at this event, but plan to put skaters on the ice, you will need to purchase a coach credential for $100. The Paid Coach Credential form must be received in the ISI office by January 31st.
We will hold a Judge and Coach meeting on Thursday, February 7th at 8:00pm at the Goggin Ice Center. Credentials can be picked up at that time. There will be light refreshments and a gift for all that attend the meeting.
